I need help please! I've recently had to buy a new laptop (O/S Windows 7) and now my Brother printer HL-1230 will not work. I have been on the Brother website for an updated driver and there is only an uninstall driver for that model. I contacted Brother help.frankly not a lot of help!and they said to try the driver for HL-1440 which I did and had the same issue. Went back to them again, they suggested installing the Vista driver. Again I downloaded that but could not find the file to install the driver:( Went back to Brother again and was told that they do not support a driver for my printer on Windows 7 (!!) and told me to get one through Windows Update.
Download the latest Windows drivers for Brother HL 1230 Driver. Drivers Update tool checks your computer for old drivers and update it. Get latest Brother HL 1230.

Hi, Please reply to the question mentioned below in order to assist you in a better way. Do you get any error message when you try to print? Since you mention that the printer worked fine in Windows 8, but has issue printing in Windows 10 the issue could be due to incompatibility of the printer with Windows 10. I would request you to install the printer drivers in compatibility mode and then check if you face any issues with printing. Right click the driver set up. Go to the Compatibility tab and in the compatibility mode, tick the Run in this program in compatibility mode: and select the windows version you want. Please revert if you still have issues with printing.
